Terms and Condition:

Coverage Options: HSBC offers different health insurance plans with varying coverage levels to suit individual needs. These plans may include coverage for hospitalization, surgeries, outpatient treatments, critical illnesses, and more.

Premiums: To be covered under the policy, you’ll need to pay regular premiums. The premium amount will depend on factors such as your age, health condition, coverage selected, and the duration of the policy.

Waiting Period: Most health insurance policies have a waiting period before certain benefits become active. During this period, you won’t be able to claim certain benefits, typically for pre-existing conditions or specific treatments.

Exclusions: Health insurance plans may have certain exclusions, meaning certain medical conditions or treatments may not be covered. It’s crucial to read and understand these exclusions to avoid surprises when making a claim.

Claim Process: If you need to make a claim, you’ll need to follow the prescribed procedure and provide all the required documents. Keep in mind that timely submission is essential to ensure a smooth claim settlement.

Renewal and Cancellation: Health insurance policies are usually renewable on an annual basis. If you wish to continue the coverage, ensure timely premium payment. Additionally, there may be provisions for policy cancellation, and it’s essential to understand the process for this.

Free-Look Period: Many insurance policies have a free-look period, allowing you to review the policy after purchase. During this period, you can cancel the policy if you are not satisfied and receive a refund of premiums paid, subject to certain conditions.

Grace Period: In case you miss paying your premium on time, there is often a grace period during which you can make the payment without losing the coverage.

Pre-Authorization: For planned hospitalizations or major medical procedures, you may need to seek pre-authorization from the insurance provider to confirm coverage and ensure a smooth claim process.

Policy Termination: The policy may terminate upon reaching a certain age or after a specified term. Additionally, non-disclosure of critical information during the application process may lead to policy cancellation.

It’s essential to thoroughly read and understand the terms and conditions of any health insurance policy before purchasing it. If you have any doubts or questions, don’t hesitate to seek clarification from HSBC Life Singapore’s representatives. Remember that health insurance can be a valuable safety net during challenging times, so choose wisely to protect your health and financial well-being.
